Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the SafeMom pregnancy-safety connector for Claude (“the Service”), operated by SafeMom. By subscribing to or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Informational use only

The Service provides general information about product ingredients and their common associations with pregnancy safety. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for consultation with a qualified healthcare provider. See our full Medical Disclaimer below, which applies to every use of the Service.

2. No warranty of accuracy

Ingredient and product data comes from third-party providers, public databases, and OCR of user-supplied barcodes and images. We work to keep this data accurate and current, but we do not guarantee it is complete, correct, or up to date. Product formulations change; a verdict reflects the data available at the time it was generated, not necessarily the product currently on shelves. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

3. Third-party data

Product and ingredient data may be sourced from third-party providers (for example, open product databases and barcode data vendors). We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or availability of third-party data, and that data remains subject to the terms of its original source.

4. Subscription, billing, and cancellation

The Service is offered as a monthly subscription at $9.99/month, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Your subscription automatically renews each month until cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your account’s billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will retain access until then. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law.

5. Fair use

Subscriptions include a fair-use allowance of 300 scans per calendar month. This limit exists to keep the Service sustainable and to prevent automated or resold use. Accounts that substantially or repeatedly exceed this allowance, or that show signs of automated/scripted use, may be rate-limited, throttled, or suspended. One subscription is for one individual’s personal use; sharing credentials or reselling access is prohibited.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: attempt to circumvent rate limits or usage caps; scrape, systematically enumerate, or bulk-extract data from the Service; submit content designed to manipulate, exploit, or inject instructions into the underlying AI systems; or use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SafeMom and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, health outcomes, or other harm, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

8. Changes to the Service or these Terms

We may update these Terms or modify the Service from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
